OSCEs to go ahead
OSCEs that are due to start at the end of January, can still go ahead, the College of Optometrists has confirmed. It has also been confirmed in Optometry Today that examiners will be able to travel to and from exams.
The College has confirmed that is paramount aim is to ensure the safety of students and examiners’ alike, and they will continue to monitor and review the advice given.

Rowing for RNIB
A group of men from Shropshire, including a community Optometrist from Specsavers, are to attempt to row across the Atlantic! A reported in the Shropshire Star, they will be undertaking this arduous challenge to raise much needed funds for the RNIB and Severn Hospice.
The men are all members of the Shropshire Adventure Rowing Club and have set themselves a target fundraising total of £100,000. Good luck from everyone at iseek recruitment!
Developments of OCT
Optometry Today reported this week, on the growth and developments of OCTs. The article states that many practices now use OCTs, and highly rate them as part of their process.
The success of the implementation of OCTs has been attributed to a few factors. The ease of use and the efficiency has been a main positive aspect. Along with improving the in the delegation from secondary to Primary eye care.
